A Fresh Start

Today I decided to give this blog a fresh new start. In 2009 I moved away from Blogger to WordPress and hosted it directly on my website - www.WebHealthWriter.com. All you bloggers out there probably know that by hosting your blog on your own web hosting account you ultimately have more control over the content. Personally, it also allowed me to use the Web Health Writer blog as a tool for showcasing my writing prowess in an attempt to gain new clients for my health writing business.

But, somehow all the pressure of writing my professional best hindered my ability to actually produce blog posts that did what I think a blog posts do best - reveal a bit about the writer, act as a means of online therapy, and help others gain a sense that they are not alone in this world. You've got problems - well I do too - and I don't want to be fearful about showing that. So, I am coming back to this blog with a new perspective, one aimed at allowing me to share a more lighthearted approach to finding health and happiness.

Because although I thoroughly believe that focusing on nutrition tips, natural health, and other health topics is incredibly important, there is also something to be said about focusing simply on what it takes to really feel good. For me, I am learning that it goes well beyond just treating my body right. It requires giving my mind and spirit just what it needs. So that is what this blog will be - time spent with gentle introspection - no criticism, no self-doubt, no questioning whether what I'm writing is really worthwhile. One of my favorite yogi tea sayings reminds me of all these things, To be healthy: eat right, walk right and talk to yourself right.

If you'd like to join me in talking right to myself through this blog, I welcome you on this journey. Namaste.
